San Mateo-Foster City Real Estate News

Since I like to write about happenings between Millbrae and San Carlos, summer means free concerts and each of our towns has some for you to pick from.  Make a picnic and grab your blankets to sit on and/or to possibly bundle up.  Bring the family and enjoy the music.  Free is good. When you're leaving the concert be sure to thank the local Park & Recreation people for providing the music.  Belmont kicks off the summer season tomorrow afternoon.

Belmont

Let's start with Belmont. Their concerts are always on Sunday afternoons from 1-4PM at Twin Pines Park on Cottage Lane. They begin in June and run through July.

The final community I'll report on this round is San Carlos.  It's one of my favorite towns on the Peninsula with a vibrant downtown made up of locally own shops and restaurants.  The community was built up in the low lands before and after WWII.  The homes in the hills went up in the 1960's and later.  There are great views from the hills and the weather is almost perfect because the fog generally stays up in the hills west of 280. San Carlos sits west of 101 and east of 280.  Belmont is it's northern neighbor and Redwood City is it's southern.

The final city in our sphere of infulence is San Carlos, 94070, one of my favorite cities on the Peninsula.  This city has great weather, good schools and in my opinion, one of the best downtowns around with local shops and wonderful restaurants.  Very little in the way of chain stores, it's a local destination with free parking!
