Dining Out in Foster City updateLeave a comment »
Last week I talked about the terrible service we received at the Foster City Chevy's while attending a fundraiser for our local chorus, Peninsula Musical Arts Foster City Community Chorus and Heart & Soul. To our surprise, Alex received a phone call today from the District Manager for Chevy's. While I wrote about the bad service and attitudes, he called them on their 800 number and said the same thing. Wow, they were very responsive and were quite thankful to learn about our experiences. The District Manager admitted they were aware that they had problems with the Foster City location and are going to make some changes there. It's great to know that complaints are taken seriously, at least by the big guns, since the manager of the local restaurant wasn't impressed. I guess he forgot the mantra "The Customer Is Always Right". So, we're going to give Chevy's a chance to do their work, and try them again. I think it will be a couple of months before we go back. I don't expect miracles but I am hopeful that one of the few restaurants around that offers outdoor dining during the summer months may be worth going to again! Here's to Chevy's corporate office for being responsive and caring enough to contact us about this complaint. I wish more companies would do the same thing.
